Eder Bedoya has been helping Jonny from Micafe with his Colombian exports since the start, and is a close friend. Having tried this coffee blind on a table of potential new producers to the Micafe lineup, it was an instant buy – a super unique, distinct profile that seemed to showcase both the best of the Chiroso variety as well as higher intervention processing.
It’s that exact unique cup profile that lead us to select this coffee for use in the finals of the UK Independent Filter Championships competition – having thrown two classic processes at competitors, we wanted to throw a curve ball higher intervention coffee, roasted incredibly light – to see how competitors would interpret it.
